I'm A Believer!

After the birth of my 2nd child about 8 years ago, I began experiencing extreme pain in my back along with  debilitating sciatica down my leg.  I also have had a history of difficulty sleeping due to the pain.  I was self-medicating with over 8 Extra Strength Aleve tablets a day, and having little to no relief.  I love to run every day, and the pain was becoming worse as time went on.

I met Dr. Langley at the Mt. Bethel UMC Habitat for Humanity Road Race, and she spent some time checking my spine and talking to me about my condition.  I didn’t know anything about chiropractic care, and frankly, thought it was hocus pocus!  But since I wasn’t getting any better, I thought I’d give it a try.  And I’m glad I did!

She found some long term misalignments in my lower lumbar spine, and began working on re-aligning my spine and removing the pressure from my nerves.  After a few adjustments, I began to notice things turning around and began to have more and more pain-free days—and nights!  I no longer needed the pain relievers, and, to my surprise, was able to sleep without sleeping pills!

I also started noticing that I was much more patient with my children, more relaxed, and because of the sciatic nerve healing, I was able to exercise longer and longer.

I am so glad that I ran into Dr. Langley that day.  My life has changed for the better since being under chiropractic care, and now I even have my family coming in for Wellness Chiropractic care.

Thank You Chiropractic for giving me back my active healthy life!               Beth Jacobs, East Cobb

I Thought Chiropractors were Just for your Back . . .

Before chiropractic care, I was dreadfully anticipating going back to the cardiologist for recurrent palpitations, but fearing the inevitable invasive work-up since previous tests and procedures had failed to reveal the cause delayed my decision.   I was also experiencing low back pain with prolonged standing and an intermittent dull pain in my left side that would occasionally wake me up at night.  Since an ultrasound and a MRI of that side were both normal, no treatment was prescribed even though the problem remained.

Now, six months into chiropractic care, I no longer experience these scary palpitations or the nagging pain in my left side. This outcome is well worth having pushed myself through the agony of the compensatory pains that plagued the first few weeks of adjustment, reminding me constantly of the various subluxations in my spine, probable causes of some serious impending medical complications. Today, not only am I able to do all my housework and shop without feeling the pressing need to lay down on the floor to rest my back, I’m also more mindful of my posture.  More importantly, I feel like I have dodged a big bullet, one that could have eventually led to my financial ruin, my mental destabilization, or my medical demise, had I not gotten my spine adjusted.

I now know that chiropractic is not just for your back!  Since starting chiropractic care, my husband and daughter are now receiving chiropractic care as well.  If you have ever wondered if there was something else you could do that is non-invasive and drug-free for your health, I would highly recommend Dr. Cheryl Langley and chiropractic care.  Marise Berthaud
